If you are struggling, there are a number of organisations providing resources and support:

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group is Africa’s largest mental health support and advocacy group. Their website is an extensive online hub of multilingual, educational resources on mental health issues, including depression, bipolar, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, trauma, sleeping disorders, schizophrenia and substance abuse. SADAG has a network of over 200 Support Groups throughout South Africa and professional counselling available 24/7.

LifeLine also provides access to a 24hr telephonic service that assists to address the psychological and social stresses and trauma that people are struggling to deal with. LifeLine aims to heal emotional trauma and crisis through counselling; and reduce emotional trauma and crisis through training and capacity building, engaging and mobilising communities.

Work Mind Matters aims to break the stigma around mental health in the workplace and runs a yearly conference focused on open discussions about the effects of mental health issues on employees and employers. Due to the crisis there is no conference planned in 2020, however, you may want to join one of WMM's free, online Connection sessions hosting a variety of international speakers and experts.
