This is a time for reflecting on our values, as people and as communities. At #FairKitchens we’ve been looking at our #FairKitchens Code, the hallmark of our values, and have updated it in light of the new normal we’re all living.
Use this to start a conversation with your team about how best to stand together.
Staying in touch with your kitchen family and friends is more important now than ever, to have the opportunity to talk openly about how you are all feeling. Here are a few ways to stay virtually connected:
1. Use one of the many free video calling platforms such as Zoom or Google Hangouts to chat to lots of people at once and see each other’s faces. Try to set a weekly or monthly date and time to catch up.
2. Social media is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends, while keeping up-to-date with the latest news stories around the world. Also, check out the FairKitchens Instagram and Facebook page to connect with people facing the same challenges and learn about initiatives and resources helping strengthen the industry at this time.
3. Pick up your phone and give whoever you’re missing a call or a quick text to let them know you’re thinking of them.
